amy hennessy - Senior Architect

Amy has over fourteen years experience working on a diverse range of projects from coastal residences to medium scaled healthcare and community services architecture, with a passion for ecological sustainability weaved through her entire practice. As a strong communicator, Amy takes joy in complex projects that require thoughtful questioning with her clients to understand their vision. She is skilled in collaborating with diverse user groups and stakeholders to achieve a common goal, and her ability to problem solve provides enormous value during the construction phase of each project.

After completing her Master of Architecture, Amy worked with the Architectural Practice Academy where she gained invaluable experience on a number of projects including an operating theatre, aged care rehabilitation unit, ambulance station, commercial kitchens and a number of smaller masterplanning projects. During her studies at the University of Queensland, Amy worked for Bark Design and Gall & Medek Architects where she completed mostly high end residential projects with a key focus on ecological sustainability.

When it comes to design, Amy believes that less is more and is passionate about exploring smaller built areas with her clients that are well choreographed and constructed using quality materials.
