Director, Rachel Towill, has been speciliasing in the environmental design of educational facilities since 2003 when she worked for award winning architectural firm Collard Clarke Jackson.
Rachel has a direct hands-on approach to all of the projects in the office and is always the client contact and designer of our projects.
The portfolio of Towill Design Group ranges from master planning, architecture & interior design, to small detailed fixtures and fittings, graphics and displays.
The professional capacity spans all facets of the built environment including project development, feasibility studies, initial concept development, client development and relations, environmental sustainable design, consultant co ordination, tender negotiations and contract administration and controlling cost, time and quality on the project.

Rachel has taught at the Canberra Institute of Technology, QUT and Griffifith University. At CIT,
Rachel taught the fundamentals of building construction including ESD principles, material selection, site analysis and orientation, specififfiication writing, understanding service consultant roles and contract administration within projects.
At QUT, Rachel has tutored and assisted in lecturing for Retrofiffiitting for Sustainability and Greenhouse Solutions, teaching the fundamentals of sustainability to students. Rachel is also a participant in the Career Mentor Program for QUT. Louise has tutored at QUT since 2008, teaching design, visualisation, professional studies and collaborative design.
Following the completion of the Kindergarten, Rachel and Louise were invited by QUT in 2012 to teach third year architecture, interior, landscape and industrial design students for a semester on how to design a sustainable childcare facility for Lone Pine Koala Centre based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Griffith university also invited Rachel and Louise to teach their architecture students Eco-retriffiitting in 2012.
In 2013, both Rachel & Louise were invited back by QUT to continue their teaching the Lone Pine Koala Childcare Centre with fourth year architecture students. In second semester, Rachel continued teaching design with the interior, industrial, architectural & landscape students to investigate ways of designing 'outdoor classrooms'.
